Missile Command fired on XBLA

Atari has announced that this week, their classic game, Missile Command will find its way to the Xbox Live Arcade (XBLA). It will have the original features as well as the new evolved version of the game that features improved graphics, sounds and special effects.

    Both the classic and evolved versions of Missile Command challenge gamers to protect cities from alien missile attack. The evolved version of the game has been updated with enhanced graphics and 3D rendered vistas giving a graphical makeover to these futuristic cities and missile silos. Missile Command supports all Xbox 360 high definition resolutions up to 1080p as well as full-screen anti-aliasing and digital surround sound. Players can make the most of the Xbox LIVE service with leader boards and 12 achievements.

Missile Command will be available on the Xbox Live Arcade on July 4, 2007. The game goes live at 2 AM Pacific Time or 9 AM GMT. It seems to be a nice game and you can earn up to 200 Gamerscore points. And yes, it will be available worldwide for 400 Microsoft Points and is rated E for Everyone.
