Ambidextrous Logitech Gaming Mouse G300 Features Nine Programmable Controls

In a move which seems to give justice to southpaw gamers, Logitech has decided to leave out thumb controls from its latest G300 gaming mouse. Instead, it has settled for nine programmable controls on the body of this ambidextrous rodent. The Logitech gaming mouse G300 stores up to three game or player profiles in its onboard memory and is apparently designed to give PC gamers an advantage over the competition.

The storage capacity of this mouse allows users to run it sans any software and even switch between computers without having to set it up each time. Making use of its user-configurable lighting, gamers can allot one of the seven available colors to each profile. Moreover, the peripheral’s ambidextrous design makes it suitable for both hands.

Chris Pate, senior product marketing manager for gaming at Logitech, revealed, “The Logitech gaming mouse G300 is perfect for PC gamers who want intelligent features that give them real benefits in-game. Whether you need more programmable buttons for your MMO, better precision for targeting enemies in an FPS, or a compact, comfortable shape to get you through hours of gameplay, we’ve got it covered.”

This mouse is equipped with a 2500dpi optical sensor which is capable of tracking movements on a ‘variety’ of surfaces. An optional drag-and-drop software provides gamers with an alternative of setting up the device as per their needs. This software also works with Logitech’s G-Series keyboards and headsets, which helps users to create macros once and share them between their G-Series devices.

The Logitech gaming mouse G300 is expected to be made available in the U.S. and Europe in September. It will be priced at 39.99 USD (approx Rs. 1,829).
