Turtle Beach Ear Force XP500 and XL1 Gaming Headphones Introduced

Xbox 360 fans looking to immerse themselves even further in the gaming experience have a pleasant treat lined up. With E3 as its platform, the Turtle Beach Ear Force XP500 and XL1 gaming headphones were announced recently. They offer features like Dolby 7.1 Surround Sound and Bluetooth Chat. The XL1 is the cheaper alternative, without much of the attributes of the XP500.

The XP500 provides gamers with an Xbox 360 Bluetooth chat (XBA) adapter allowing wireless chat. The adapter further lets users sync the headphones to mobile phones or MP3 players. The headphone also comes with programmable custom presets giving independent customization options during gameplay.

XP500’s Dolby surround sound delivers a 360 degree audio experience. The Dynamic chat boost increases chat volume automatically when the game volume increases. Furthermore the Microphone Monitoring feature allows users to hear their own voice clearly avoiding the need to shout in order to hear their own voice. The Sonic Silencers and Sonic Lenses help in eliminating background sounds. There’s also a genuine voice, prompting vital headset status conditions. The blast limiter of this headset limits explosive sounds protecting the ears from loud noises.

Carmine Bonanno, President and CEO of Turtle Beach commented, “The PX5 pioneered a new generation of headsets that recalibrated people’s expectations of what a gaming headset can be. With the release of the XP500, XBOX 360 owners can enjoy the super-premium gaming experience they have been waiting for, complete with wireless chat.”

In contrast, the inexpensive Ear Force XL1 headphones offer an in-line amplifier with a built-in bass boost. There are independent controls for game and chat volumes on these headphones. The fabric mesh ear cushions go easy on the ears. These headphones also come with 50 millimeter speakers.

Bonanno further added, “Turtle Beach has always been obsessed with providing value and performance in the same package and the new Ear Force XL1 is no exception. This new entry level headset offers XBOX 360 owners all the features they need to enjoy a more immersive gaming experience, at a price that rivals the cost of a mono communicator headset.”

Both the Turtle Beach Ear Force XP500 and XL1 headphones will be available later this year for the Xbox 360 and PS3. They’re priced at 269.95 USD (approx Rs. 12074) and 39.95 USD (approx Rs. 1786) respectively.
