British actress Minnie Driver will be voicing Lara Croft in the upcoming series Tomb Raider-focused season of ReVisioned on GameTap. The animated series will see a different artist’s interpretation of the Tomb Raider franchise each week. A documentary will also be made available on GameTap.
Ricardo Sanchez, VP, Content, GameTap said, “Minnie Driver really does have a fabulous voice. She’s had experience doing animation as well, which was good. She was perfect. Simone’s installment will showcase Croft as a 12-year-old girl. Ellis’ episode is “horror-tinged” while Chung will marry his style, popularized by “Aeon Flux,” to the Tomb Raider franchise.”
The ReVisioned series will debut on North American and Canadian download service GameTap on July 10, 2007 and will end on August 23, 2007. Sanchez has indicated that the next season of ReVisioned will be released this winter and will be more lighthearted with a focus on a group of video games. There is no word whether the game will release in Europe.
