Hitman 3 Finally Allows PC Players To Import Levels From First Two Games

Hitman 3

Owners of Hitman 3 on PC finally have the complete game package that they were promised last year. They can now import their Hitman 1 and 2 locations into the latest game at no additional cost. While this is a welcome arrival, the big delay has definitely left many fans disappointed with developer IO interactive, especially those who wished to play all three titles back-to-back to get the whole experience.

While Hitman 3 is an Epic Games Store-exclusive, its predecessors were available on Steam. Back in August last year, IO Interactive announced that those who own the first two titles on Steam will be able to import locations from those games into the third installment at no extra cost. But in January this year, the developer altered the deal, telling PC gamers that even though they had purchased the first two games, they would need to pay an additional fee to get the old levels in Hitman 3.

This led to quite some backlash from fans and eventually, IO Interactive had to relent by saying that it would “guarantee that players will not need to repurchase the games.” With the solution now live, PC gamers can finally play through all locations from the series in Hitman 3.

The newest game was released in January this year to roaringly positive reviews. It completes the overarching storyline that was started with the episodic 2016 release of the first game. It’s also available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox One X/S, and Stadia platforms. Those who play it on the PS4 or the PS5 will get a special PlayStation VR-compatible virtual reality mode.

Hitman 3 owners on PC can check the game’s location import guide to get levels from the previous games imported into the new one.
