Innersloth, the devs behind massive global hit Among Us, have teased a new map for the game. Only one room of the map has been teased for now, but the developers have asked fans to wait until The Game Awards in December to know more about it. “Hungry for more? Keep an eye out for The Game Awards on Dec 10. It’s getting reaaaaal suspicious over there,” said the game’s official Twitter account.
This was only the second tweet of the newly launched Twitter account of Among Us, with the first one having been the teaser for the new map. It showcases an image with the text, “Welcome to the official Among Us Twitter. Get all the news, peeks, and fun shenanigans here and become a part of the crew. Here’s a special look at the NEW Among Us map! (For your eyes only!!) (Don’t show the impostors!!)”
Not much can be made out from the map, except that it’s seemingly inspired by the graphics of The Henry Stickmin Collection, another Innersloth game. The teaser image seems to be of a control deck in a ship and contains a captain’s chair, various panels, a wiring box, and a Wi-Fi box, making it a complete playfield for imposters and crewmates to dabble in.
Among Us was released back in 2018, but it only received mainstream popularity in 2020. The game’s social deduction aspects combine very well with its action-based gameplay that involves crewmates trying to find out who the imposters among them are. The game currently has three maps, namely The Skeld, Mira HQ, and Polus.
The name of the fourth Among Us map has not yet been revealed, but what’s certain is that we’ll get to know much more about it on December 10 at The Game Awards ceremony. Meanwhile, the game can be played on PC, Android, and iOS.
