Wii gamers who are still immersed in the world of Enjoy your massage should now roll their calendar as another week has already passed. Nintendo is back to work, bringing gamers a new set of titles through their WiiWare service. This week, The company has infused the WiiWare with Space Trek and A Monsteca Corral: Monsters vs. Robots.
Taking players to a new planet, Space Trek puts them into the shoes of Captain Jay who lands on an alien world. In this unknown terrain, gamers will have to fight with the inhabitants of this place dubbed as the Knagar. These huge green, self-important bullies will stand as an obstacle in the players’ route to save survivors. Gamers will have to pass through several hurdles and secure themselves from being electrocuted while battling the floating drones, destructing Knagar ships, facing gigantic worms and attacking turrets.
Armed with a map, players will have to pick up keycards, neutralize force fields and gather power-ups. In addition, they can collect one of the six weapons such as Quark Dispeller, Anti-Matter Thrower and Mega Rockets. Experiencing a flight over the heat-bursting volcanoes, players can also enjoy humorous dialogues while they traverse through six big levels.
The next title rides players to a more chaotic place in the universe. A Monsteca Corral: Monsters vs. Robots paints the picture of a jarring planet called Monsteca. This planet has been inflicted by the tyranny of a robotic army which plans to control the world of Stompies. The natives will have to face these mechanical soldiers by combining the strength of their herds and crushing the over-powering robots. Donning the role of Stompies, gamers will need to successfully cross 20 levels in this full-3D strategy game.
Published by Calaris, Space Trek is a single-player title and can be procured from the Wii Shop Channel by redeeming 700 Wii Points. Gamers can journey through the muddled world of Monsteca by purchasing A Monsteca Corral: Monsters vs. Robots for 500 Wii Points. Players can buy points from the Wii Shop Channel while they can also trade their Nintendo Points Card purchased from retail locations for points at the shop.
