Nintendo is bringing the new 3DS XL to the US on Feb 13

Nintendo fans, save the date – The new 3DS XL handhelds are making their way to the US market next month and will start hitting stores from February 13 onwards. What’s more, the company has also announced the arrival of several new games which will be made available soon.

The new Nintendo 3DS XL systems have been improved in a number of ways. First and foremost, they offer a wider range of controls including a C Stick and new ZL and ZR buttons. There’s also face-tracking technology onboard along with built-in NFC for use with amiibo figures.

Nintendo has even improved the 3D experience through new technology. Great as the fresh features are, there is one small issue through. The company won’t be bundling the handheld console with an AC adapter and the reason is simply because the device uses the same power source as the DSi and previous 3DS models. You will be able to purchase a new AC adapter separately.

Other titles such as Code Name: S.T.E.A.M., Splatoon, Kirby and the Rainbow Curse and Mario Party 10 have also been slated for release in the future.
