Insomniac’s AAA Next near completion, being tested globally?

E3 2010 is right around the corner and wide speculation about quality games being displayed by all the three major stakeholders has already sparked a lot of curiosity. Out of the three, Sony’s line-up already includes the recently unveiled Little Big Planet 2 which is going to be glorified by the rumored Killzone 3 by Guerrilla Games and Resistance 3 from Insomniac.

Though very little has been heard about the latter’s next big project, many have assumed that Nathan Hale will complete his conquest against the Chimera forces which began its onslaught on the PlayStation 3 when it launched back in 2006. Now we stumbled upon a LinkedIn profile of Dave Swift, who currently works as a production planner for Sony Computer Entertainment. The interesting bit comes from the designation he held earlier within Sony Computer Entertainment America. Dave Swift was a global test analyst from March 2008-2009 and was working in conjunction with Insomniac games as a “first party quality assurance, GTA (global test analyst) for a PS3 AAA title”.

Now this is indicative of the completion of their project which was considerable at a stage in 2009 as a result of which the game in question was being tested globally across all Sony Q&A test centers. This also leads to assume the project should probably be unveiled at this year’s E3 which is already going to be magnanimous in its own way. It has been stated numerous times that the game/project in question is actually Resistance 3. However, there have also been rumors that Insomniac Studios established another branch to work on a different game which belonged to the genre of survival horror. More on this as E3 comes closer to us.
