Last week, Splosion Man exploded on the Xbox Live Arcade scene as part of the second annual Summer of Arcade program. We now have word that the festivities will continue with the arrival of Marvel vs. Capcom 2 on the XBLA tomorrow. The second annual Summer of Arcade program is an initiative to provide gamers with the top game titles of the season.
Marvel vs. Capcom 2 will feature the largest character roster in a Capcom fighting game ever. 56 mighty characters from the expansive Marvel Comics and Capcom universe will be at the player’s disposal. Gamers will get a chance to play with legendary characters such as Wolverine, Ryu, Mega Man and the invincible Iron Man. The fighting game will feature superior HD graphics, leaderboard and online multiplayer options via Xbox Live.
Also, fans can look out for the three other titles that will be offered as part of the second annual Summer of Arcade campaign. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time Re-shelled, Trials HD and Shadow Complex are expected to be out in the coming few weeks. Each of these titles will be priced at 1200 Microsoft Points.
Marvel vs. Capcom 2 is expected to be available as a download on XBLA from tomorrow, July 29, 2009 onwards for a price of 1200 Microsoft Points. It is developed by Backbone Entertainment and published by Capcom Entertainment.
