Company of Heroes 2 is all set to receive a new standalone expansion called The Western Front Armies this June. Two new factions, eight fresh maps and a lot more will form part of this package which will take gamers back to the Second World War’s western battleground which was featured in the critically acclaimed first title from the series.
The Western Front Armies will introduce two new playable armies in the form of the U.S. Forces and German Oberkommando West. Developer Relic Entertainment has revealed that both these factions will feature their own new units, models, abilities, animations as well as strategic and tactical options. You’ll be able to access these armies individually as well. While the complete expansion will set you back by 19.99 USD (approx. Rs 1,190), purchasing an individual army will cost 12.99 (approx. Rs 780).
Eight fresh maps will also form part of this Company of Heroes 2 expansion. These will add to the twenty three that already form part of the game. Publisher Sega has revealed through a blog post that this DLC will ship with a new progression system allowing deeper immersion into the tactical and strategic aspects of the game.
Company of Heroes 2 was released in June last year, and now The Western Front Armies expansion too will be launched in the same month of this year. As mentioned above, it will be made available as a standalone expansion at a price of by 19.99 USD (approx. Rs 1,190).
