Ashes Cricket 2013 sent back to the pavilion by angry Steam customers

Just like the ongoing series between England and Australia, Ashes Cricket 2013, a game based on it too seems to be in the eye of the storm. This title developed by Aussie studio Trickstar Games has been pulled off Steam following its low-profile and delayed release on November 21. With Steam reviews braiding it as the ‘worst cricket game’ and ‘flawed in almost every way,’ those who’ve downloaded this offering have already started demanding refunds for it.

Ashes Cricket 2013

Ashes Cricket 2013 features official England Cricket and Cricket Australia licenses, allowing you to experience the series with real names of players and many more authentic elements. But it appears, its gameplay is truly broken. Reportedly, Ashes Cricket 2013 is being bugged by performance issues, a lack of difficulty settings and the absence of online play. Moreover, by the looks of it, the animations and graphics look extremely dated, to say the least. Watch the video we’ve posted below to know what we’re talking about.

Publisher 505 Games is still to issue an official statement on the matter. It is slated to release this game for the PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U in the near future, but we don’t think that will be happening now that the controversy has arisen. It was developed with an aim of letting gamers experience the entire 2013 Ashes series while playing as England or Australia. But it even features other game modes including ODIs, T20s and more.

Ashes Cricket 2013 is currently holding a 0.2 User Score on Metacritic. We’ll update this post if and when something official about it is spoken.
