After the unveiling of FIFA 12 for the Nintendo 3DS, EA Sports is now gearing up to release the game with the new Player Impact Engine for the Xbox 360 and PS3. This enhanced physics engine will take gamers to the edge of reality, as players fight for the ball and test their ball maneuvering ability in the game. The engine is designed to process results continuously on collisions and offer natural reactions from the players on field.
The all-new Precision Dribbling feature eases the power to tackle the ball away from opponents, while the Tactical Defending attribute should allow players to defend their side more precisely. Taking on the Career Mode, gamers can expect to enjoy real-world storylines, enhancing the reality quotient of the game. There’s also a real-time struggle for the ball’s possession by players.
“The transformation FIFA 12 has undergone is revolutionary not evolutionary,” explained Kaz Makita, Executive Producer for the FIFA franchise, which has won 136 videogame awards the past three years. “To create the best and most authentic FIFA game ever, we needed new technology to deliver on our vision. Fans will see, and more importantly feel, the significance of the Player Impact Engine immediately,”
Pro Player Intelligence adds up to the in-game player’s intelligence and performance. They perform on the field as per their aptitude, decision making skills and also that of their team mates. Players with outstanding vision will further have an opportunity for through balls that other players won’t. Teams can change their attack depending on the strengths of their players or weaknesses of the opposite players, making the match more genuine in nature. FIFA 12 is up with a brand new menu system too and offers more than 500 officially licensed clubs to choose from.
The game is set to be available in stores worldwide this fall.
