Much has been said about FIFA 10 and the new features it adds to the footballing franchise from EA. Earlier we reported about the cover athletes on the UK pack and the US pack. Now Electronic Arts has announced that Chelsea FC midfielder, Frank Lampard will join Manchester United FC striker, Wayne Rooney on the global EA Sports FIFA 10 package for each platform. The game is out this October for various platforms.
This is the fifth year that Rooney will be featured on the FIFA franchise’s global pack cover. But it will only be 31 year old Lampard’s first appearance on a FIFA title cover.
“It is an honour to be part of the EA Sports FIFA franchise. Being on the cover of this fantastic football video game with such a rich history is really a great achievement for me”, Frank Lampard remarked.
These two international talents will be joined by various other football stars from around the world on the regional packaging. The other football players joining these two include Karim Benzema in France, Bastian Schweinsteiger in Germany, Giorgio Chiellini in Italy, Xavi Hernandez in Spain, plus many more from all over the world.
There will be a full playable FIFA 10 demo for the PS3, downloadable from the PlayStation Store, for the Xbox 360 on Xbox Live Marketplace, and also for the PC from the game’s official website. The demo releases on September 10, 2009 in Europe and on September 17, 2009 in North America. Gamers will be able to play an exhibition match and additionally, for the first time in a FIFA demo, will be able to upload their in-game videos created, to the EA Football World.
FIFA 10 will be available at retail starting on October 2, 2009 across Europe and on October 20, 2009 all over North America. The game is localized in 18 languages and will be sold in 37 countries for the PS3, Xbox 360, PS2, PSP, Wii, PC and Nintendo DS, as well as for mobile platforms. Prices for the various versions of the game are not known.
