Final Fantasy IV: The Complete Collection Coming this April

While Square Enix is busy adding a final touch to the next installment in the Final Fantasy series, the company will soon unveil a retro feather for enhancing the franchise’s 20th anniversary celebrations. The gaming giant has doffed the covers off Final Fantasy IV: The Complete Collection for the PSP.

Slated to arrive this April, the offering is expected to revive the experience yielded by the popular Final Fantasy IV and The After Years through a single package. Compiling some exhilarating RPGs, it will bring forth an ensemble full of reminiscent characters and narratives while new characters join the cast along with Cecil, Rosa, Kain, Rydia and Edge. Further, the storyline too has been introduced with ingenious twists.

“In honor of the 20th anniversary since the initial launch, we are releasing Final Fantasy IV: The Complete Collection this April, 2011. We hope fans will enjoy and celebrate not only the original and complete game experience but the addition of new and never-before-seen levels,” explained Ami Blaire, Vice President of Marketing, Square Enix.

The title is being crafted to display refined 2D graphics on the PSP’s 16:9 format. It has also been packed with a re-arranged soundtrack and a bonus game to elevate the experience. Gamers who are already familiar with the title can traverse back into memory lanes with these refreshing assimilations. Besides, this game makes it possible for new players to indulge in the immersive experience of the past.

Final Fantasy IV: The Complete Collection has been scheduled to release on April 19, 2011.
