LocoRoco is the innovative platform video game for Sony’s PSP handheld game console. The game was highly praised for its vibrant worlds and intuitive gameplay. Now Tsubasa Inaba, Producer at SCEA Santa Monica, announces on the PlayStation Blog, that a spin-off of the franchise called LocoRoco Midnight Carnival will be coming for the PSP very soon.
In LocoRoco Midnight Carnival, the BuiBui have woken the LocoRoco. The BuiBui, it seems, have built some challenging levels for the LocoRoco to beat, before they can get back to bed. The LocoRoco have a greatly enhanced bounce called the “Boing!” Using this, players will literally be able to bounce off walls in the game.
Midnight Carnival comes with 16 standard stages, 2 mini stages and three bonus stages, all beautifully constructed for the player to “bounce” around in. The Ad-Hoc feature can be used to play co-operatively or to compete against friends. There will also be worldwide leaderboards for players to try and top.
LocoRoco Midnight Carnival will be arriving soon for the PSP via the PlayStation Network. It will be playable on the PSP Go even while the device is closed.
