Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories was released to the North American region on August 29, 2006, and since then there has also been Disgaea 3: Absence of Justice for the PS3 which saw the light of day in the US on August 26, 2008, months after the game hit Japan. Now IGN reports that a remake of Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories called Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days is officially in the making for the PSP.
The upcoming PSP version of the game will have new story chapters revolving around a new main character. The PSP version won’t just be a direct port, but will immerse players deep into the Dark Hero Days experience with these new story chapters. Disgaea 3 had introduced various battle mechanics and many new skills and items, and Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days will incorporate many of these new skills and items, and battle mechanics from the PS3 game. Not much on the price is known yet, but Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days is expected to hit North American stores this fall. The game is already available in Japan.
