Capcom Will Continue To Support PSP

From the last few days, there were rumors that Capcom was apparently going to suspend game development for Sony’s handheld gaming console, the PlayStation Portable. But it seems that is not the case as Capcom has rubbished those rumors as they will be continuing to support the PSP.

Biz-dev Christian Svensson replied on the Capcom-Unity blog, “Absolutely 100% false… We are still making new PSP games. We may be the most successful PSP publisher in the world with Monster Hunter Portable 2nd and 2ndG. It’d be a difficult decision to defend stopping development when we have such success on the platform.”

A reader had asked Capcom if about their plans for further support for the PlayStation Portable since most of the Capcom PSP games had flopped. Well, one of the most important gaming platforms is the PlayStation Portable. Game developers just can’t afford to give the PSP a miss!
