A few months ago, we had reported that Kazunori Yamauchi, the creator of the series, had pointed out that it was unlikely that Gran Turismo 4 for the PSP will be out in 2008. Now Shuhei Yoshida from Sony Worldwide Studios has said mentioned that Gran Turismo PSP is coming and Polyphony Digital is working on it.
In an interview with gaming website Eurogamer.net, Shuhei Yoshida, the president of SCE Worldwide Studios explained, “They have been working on Gran Turismo 5 Prologue and Gran Turismo 5 for PS3, so they have had to focus on finishing up Gran Turismo on the PS3 side. That is been making the PSP development a little bit slow.”
Shuhei Yoshida was also questioned on the release date and was asked will Gran Turismo PSP be out next year. The Sony head replied that he cannot comment on it. GT PSP has been development from a very long time. But let’s hope the game comes out real soon as it is eagerly awaited by the fans of the series.
