Starhawk Story Details Hit the Scene, New Trailer Out

In a gentle reminder to all those who’re perceiving Starhawk to just be a multiplayer adventure which we witnessed in its beta, the game’s developer has disclosed some of its crucial story details. This title’s solo campaign has been highlighted in its latest trailer which we’ve posted below.

Fans will be pleased to know that the game’s Build & Battle mechanics will be fully supported in the story mode which is focused upon the war between the Rifters and the Outcast. It revolves around the fight for rift energy, known as ‘blue-gold,’ which is found on a distant space colony called the Frontier. Protagonist Emmett Grave will be on the lookout of his brother Logan who is leader of an Outcast warband.

Dylan Jobe, President, LightBox Interactive, said on the official PlayStation blog, “The team has been working all hours at Santa Monica Studio and here at LightBox Interactive to finish up Starhawk and we wanted to take a bit of time to share our latest Singleplayer trailer. Most people out there really only know Starhawk for its online multiplayer, which totally kicks ass and was certainly our team’s focus. But the fact is that Starhawk has a very fun and unique solo campaign too… and no, it’s not just an MP tutorial with bots!”

The game’s private beta was launched in November last year and ran till January, 2012. It was then that its public beta started being made available to select PS3 gamers before being thrown open to all PSN account holders. It has been revealed by Sony that all those who pre-order this title through GameStop will automatically have their copies upgraded to the Limited Edition which contains a number of added traits.

Starhawk can be pre-ordered now exclusively for the PS3 at a price of 59.99 USD (approx. Rs. 3,150). It will be outed on May 8.
