PS Store Update drops Sound Shapes and More

Sound Shapes, the second entry into the annual PSN Play program has been released by Sony through this week’s PS Store update. As announced earlier, free downloads of both The Walking Dead episodes are up for grabs only to PS Plus subscribers.

Sound Shapes is a cross-play game which can be accessed from either the PS3 or the PS Vita. Only one purchase of 14.99 USD (approx. Rs. 825) is enough to get the musical 2D platformer on both the devices. Hyperdimension Neptunia MK2 and The King of Fighters XIII also hit PSN for the PS3, with their prices tagged at 49.99 USD (approx. Rs. 2,755) and 29.99 USD (approx. Rs. 1,650), respectively.

Furthermore, a new Wolfpack bundle for Payday: The Heist Bundle goes online this week at 19.99 USD (approx. Rs. 1,100). Pre-orders for next week’s PSN Play game, Papo & Yo can be placed now by gamers in order to grab a free PS3 theme. PS Plus members get a 20 percent discount on this game. LittleBigPlanet 2 gets a huge price drop this week. It goes from 39.99 USD (approx. Rs. 2,205) to 19.99 USD.

On the DLC front, the various Uncharted 3 additions announced recently have hit the PS Store, while new multiplayer DLC for Inversion has been launched too. And as Darksiders II gears up for its release next week, its Season Pass has gone live now for 19.99 USD.

These are all the highlights of this week’s PS Store update, as seen on the official PlayStation blog. Those waiting for GTA 3 to arrive on PSN were left disappointed yet again, as Rockstar it seems is still to resolve its issues with the title’s licensed music tracks.
