PlayStation Cloud Information is Fake: Sony

The PlayStation Cloud is a rumored service for the PS3 which is said to allow players to know what their friends are up to in a game, and are alerted if one of their friends earns a trophy. With the help of this PlayStation Cloud feature, players can apparently have their game stats, trophies and saves, automatically updated online so that they can play their games from any PS3.

PlayStation Cloud Service Bogus

The PS Cloud supposedly even lets users take in-game screenshots and capture video to be shared with others online. But IGN is reporting that Sony’s Social Media Manager, Jeff Rubenstein has quashed all this speculation, saying that the information on the PlayStation Cloud is bogus.

Recently a mock-up of this service was “leaked” over the internet. Speaking on this, Rubenstein strongly stated, “This ‘mockup’ is pure conjecture. This is 100 percent fake.”

Conjecture or not, the PlayStation Cloud sounds like a really handy service which would greatly improve the community features of the PlayStation Network.
