PixelJunk Eden Encore goes Online this Thursday on PSN

PixelJunk Eden is the innovative platform title for the PS3 involving a ‘grimp’ which is supposed to collect various objects such as spectra. About a fortnight ago, developer Q-Games had spoken about an update to the game titled PixelJunk Eden Encore, but no clear release was announced. Now via the PlayStation Blog we have word from the developer that the update, Encore, will be releasing on the PlayStation Network this Thursday April 16, 2009 in North America, Europe and Japan.

The update contains 5 new levels or garden stages with new music and graphics by Baiyon. Also multiple new trophies are available to add to the challenge of controlling the grimp. Although, in order to use the update, Patch 2.0 is required. The post on the blog also goes on to say that Q-games is in the process of developing a fourth PixelJunk title which is apparently, “really unique and a lot of fun and very pretty to look at.” Information on this new project, we hear will be released in a little while.

Fans will be able to download PixelJunk Eden Encore for a price of 5.99 USD (approx. Rs. 300). The update will be available across Asia on April 17, 2009, one day after its release in North America, Europe and Japan.
