Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crank in Time is the final installment in the acclaimed Future trilogy. The other titles in the trilogy are Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction and Quest for Booty. This latest upcoming title is set to hit stores in the US on October 27, 2009. The platform-shooter will exclusively release for the PS3.
As posted on the official PlayStation blog, there is a little something extra for those eager gamers who wish to pre-order their copy of Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time. They can look forward to some Ratchet & Clank goodies from participating retail stores. These include Discovery, Power, Bolt and Space Packages.
In the Discovery Package gamers can explore the Insomniac Moon complete with an exclusive level which features a similar layout to the studio offices of the game’s developer. This extra content wasn’t featured in the final title. The unlockable can be earned as well although it would be a little difficult.
Power Package consists of an exclusive weapon skin for one of the weapons wielded by Ratchet. This is accompanied by Ratchet’s new Cryo Mine Glove and extra hit points as well. The Bolt Package improves the Box Basher and Bolt Magnetizer by increasing the bolt count with 5,000 free bolts. Space Package includes an exclusive hot rod skin for the protagonist’s ship called the Aphelion. This comes along with a Ratchet & Clank PlayStation Home Avatar skin and 5,000 free bolts.
All this will be available to customers who pre-order the upcoming title which is published by Sony Computer Entertainment and developed by Insomniac Games. The price of the game has not been disclosed by the company as yet.
