Logitech has previously come out with many kinds of accessories for the PlayStation 3. A few weeks ago, they had announced a Bluetooth-enabled handset and keyboard for the PS3. Now Logitech has introduced the official racing wheel of Gran Turismo, which is called “Driving Force GT”.

The Logitech Driving Force GT racing wheel has a powerful force feedback. The PS3 peripheral includes an innovative 24-position real-time adjustment dial for on-the-fly control of brake bias, traction and damper settings. Understeer, oversteer as well as traction loss are stimulated by the official racing wheel of Gran Turismo. It comes along with full-size gas and brake pedals.
The Driving Force GT has a large 27.9 cm (11-inch) wheel with a rubber-overmould rim that offers excellent comfort and control. It features a 900 degrees lock-to-lock that enables gamers to navigate hairpin turns with better accuracy. Also, the Driving Force GT has an illuminated horn button with the official Gran Turismo logo. Gamers will have specific control over the car’s setup to attain maximum performance.
The Logitech Driving Force GT wheel has been made for Gran Turismo 5 Prologue for the PS3, which releases next month. The device is also compatible with Gran Turismo 3 and Gran Turismo 4 for the PS2. The wheel has been made by Logitech as well as Polyphony Digital. The Driving Force GT racing wheel for the PS3 will be launched in May 2008 in North America as well as Europe. It is expected to cost $149.99 (approx. Rs. 5995).
