MotorStorm Arctic Edge for PSP and PS2 Revealed by Sony

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has announced that MotorStorm Arctic Edge is ready for an autumn 2009 release. The game will be made available across the PAL territories for the PSP and the PlayStation 2.

MotorStorm Arctic Edge

MotorStorm Arctic Edge is developed by Bigbig Studios and features wicked off-road racing in the Alaskan snow-covered wasteland. Bigbig Studios had developed the famous Pursuit Force earlier. The game takes players to the harsh and unforgiving cold of Alaska where it seems that they would be more at home on a dog-sled rather than in racing machines. MotorStrom Arctic Edge is packed with totaled ice bridges, unexpected avalanches and the action at three altitudes to choose from and brings in two new vehicles in the form of the Snowcat and the Snow Machine.

The game features single player mode plus an online multiplayer mode and can even be played with a few friends. MotorStorm Arctic Edge on the PSP allows up to 8 players to battle it out in the snow wirelessly using the Ad Hoc mode. Players can customize their vehicles giving them a personal touch with different types of exhaust, rims and spoiler panels. Also, gamers can affix stickers onto their vehicles and can either choose from a variety of racing color patterns or create their own designs.

MotorStorm Arctic Edge 2

MotorStorm Arctic Edge comes after the blockbuster successes of MotorStorm and MotorStorm Pacific Rift and is exclusively for the PSP and the PS2. The game has been developed by Bigbig Studios and is published by Sony.
