The Doors Unleashed for Rock Band 3

With time passing like sand clenched in a tight fist, the calendar points out that it is time when gamers can pluck their guitar strings to the tunes of Rock Band 3. As the game prepares to hit stores today, Harmonix and MTV Games have revealed that three Pro Guitar and Pro Bass tracks by The Doors which were unveiled previously will be available alongside its launch.

Earlier this month, the developer and publisher of Rock Band 3 announced that The Doors will soon make their way onto the new platform. With the release of the title, three of the band’s compositions namely ‘Light My Fire’, ‘Riders on the Storm’ and ‘Touch Me’ can be downloaded without paying any additional charges by Rock Band 3 owners.

These songs are said to come incorporated with five-button guitar and bass, Drums, Pro Drums and Keys, Pro Keys and harmonies along with a free expansion option. The latter is said to add Pro Guitar and Pro Bass parts into these compositions for an enhanced gameplay experience. Players will now be able to procure these songs as ‘The Doors RB3 Free Launch Pack.’

Gamers can lay their hands on these three tracks free-of-cost until November 1, 2010. From November 2 onwards, The Doors’ Rock Band downloads will be up for grabs as individual songs or a 12-song bundle. ‘The Doors Greatest Hits: Special edition’ has been priced at 14.99 USD (approx. Rs. 665), 7.49 GBP (approx. Rs. 525) and 10.99 Euro (approx. Rs. 682) for the PS3 as well as the Xbox 360. Wii owners will need to shell out 1,500 Wii Points to procure the 12-song pack.

All these tracks are original master recordings which can be purchased by PS3 gamers in Europe starting tomorrow.
