Judas Priest’s British Steel Tracks Come to Rock Band

Harmonix and MTV Games have unfurled some great tracks that are expected to be quite a delight for metal fans as well as other music enthusiasts. The companies drop into the Rock Band Music Store live recordings of nine tracks plucked right out from Judas Priest’s album entitled British Steel.

The British Steel album first released back in April 1980 and is noted to be Judas Priest’s first platinum Top 40 album in the US as well as the band’s premier Top 10 studio album in the UK. This year, Judas Priest is celebrating the album’s 30th anniversary and is scheduled to re-release it in a couple of days.

The nine tracks soon to be available to fans include live versions of ‘Breaking the Law’, ‘Rapid Fire’, ‘Grinder’, ‘United’, ‘The Rage’ and ‘Steeler’. These particular tracks can also be acquired for the family-friendly Lego Rock Band game. The other three songs for Rock Band include ‘Metal Gods’, ‘Living After Midnight’ and ‘You Don’t Have to Be Old to Be Wise’.

The ‘British Steel 30th Anniversary’ pack is priced at $14.99 (approx. Rs.674), £7.49 (approx. Rs.500), €10.99 (approx. Rs.641) and 1200 Microsoft Points for Xbox 360. Individual tracks bear a cost of $1.99 (approx. Rs.89), £.99 (approx. Rs.66), €1.49 (approx. Rs.86) and 160 Microsoft Points. For the Wii, each track is priced at 200 Wii Points. These tracks are expected to hit consoles by May 11, 2010. PS3 owners situated in Europe can however rock to these songs a day later on May 12, 2010.
