SingStar Latino from Sony Available

SingStar is the franchise from Sony which recently got an addition in the form of SingStar Queen for the PS2 and PS3. Now Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) has announced the release of SingStar Latino for Latin America for both the PS2 and PS3 platforms. The game provides an authentic and interactive singing experience and is the first SCEA title developed exclusively for the Latin American market.

“As part of our business expansion in Latin America, SCEA is focused on providing gaming and entertainment fans access to the entire line of PlayStation products, software and services across the region,” Mark Stanley, director and general manager for Latin America, SCEA explained. “With the release of SingStar Latino, SCEA is following through on its commitment to develop games specifically for Latin America and we see this as the first of many more titles to come.”

SingStar Latino feature 30 singles and music videos from the hottest Latin artists including David Bisbal, Natalia Lafourcade, Jon Secada, La Oreja de Van Gogh, Paulina Rubio, Heroes del Silencio and others. The game, like other in its franchise, recognizes pitch, tone and rhythm, and scores players.

SingStar Latino will also receive over 140 songs for download via the online SingStore at launch, and the SingStore will be updated every month. In addition, SingStar Latino allows players to capture special moments using the PlayStation Eye to record their performances. Those registered on the PSN will be able to share these moments with the SingStar community via My SingStar Online.

SingStar Latino comes bundled with two high-quality USB microphones. The game will be available in retail stores across Latin America. Pricing has not been revealed.
