Animal Crossing: Wild World Crosses the 5 Million Mark in Japan

Back in late November 2008, we had reported that the Nintendo Wii had crossed the seven million mark in Japan. Also, a game called as Animal Crossing: City Folk for the Wii was doing pretty well. Now it seems that an Animal Crossing game has done wonders for the Nintendo DS.

Gaming news blog Kotaku is reporting that data collected by Media Create, a sales tracker, has revealed that Animal Crossing: Wild World for the Nintendo DS has crossed the five million mark in Japan. Apparently, this is the second game DS game to do so, with New Super Mario Bros being the other one.

Animal Crossing: Wild World took three years to cross the five million mark in Japan. The sim was released for the handheld gaming console way back in 2005. It not only got favorable reviews from the publications but gamers also liked it. It seems that the five million make milestone would surely prove that.
