Band Hero rolls into stores across platforms in North America
Activision Publishing’s latest title namely Band Hero sports a very similar attributes to that of Guitar Hero 5. Supporting full band play including drums, vocals lead and bass guitar, Band Hero unveils for the PS3, PS2, Wii, Xbox 360 and Nintendo DS Lite. The game includes a vast line-up of titles from classic bands to the latest artists. Adam Levine from Maroon 5 and Taylor Swift also appear as playable characters in the title.

Gamers will now be able to take all the rocking action along with them wherever they venture with the Nintendo DS Lite version of Band Hero. There is an exclusive set list for this version as well as the inclusion of an innovative Drum Grip and integrated microphone ability for vocals. Extra gameplay and content like Fan Request challenges can be unlocked by connecting to the Wii version of the Band Hero.
Speaking about the Wii version, the game incorporates many exclusive game modes. The Nintendo DS and DSi players can change and update the set list of the band in DS Party Play. The Roadie Battle mode lets up to two Nintendo DS gamers to sync with two Band Hero Wii guitarists. This poses an even greater challenge as they navigate through stage fixing their own damages while trying to sabotage their opponents. As experienced in Guitar Hero 5, Band Hero also includes Mii Freestyle Mode.

As our first E10+ rated console game, Band Hero will become the new soundtrack to family game night.”
Bundled with the Wii version of the game and available at the launch, players can espy a new drum kit controller with a thinner and sturdier design. Here’s some great news for owners of many earlier Guitar Hero installments. They can import select songs from games like Guitar Hero 5, World Tour and Smash Hits. Most of the downloadable content for Guitar Hero 5 and World Tour can be played with latest title.
Band Hero features the likes of Jackson 5, Lily Allen, Fall Out Boy, The All-American Rejects and Nelly Furtado. Players can seamlessly jump I or out of gameplay without any interruption in Party Play mode. They can form together their desired band with any combination of drums, vocals and guitars. In the Xbox 360 version of the game, players can rock with their own Xbox Avatars by using the latest technology from Xbox Live. They can even design and fashion their Avatar to jam with the likes of new character Quincy Styles as well as old favorites like Midori, Axel Steel and Judy Nails.
Band Hero is now available for various platforms and bears an E10+ rating. The pricing for the various versions of the game is however not disclosed by the company.
