MTV Games and Harmonix earlier released a total of 16 tracks featuring various artists for Wii users of Rock Band. They have now announced that they are going to release a three pack from Green Day and 8 songs from artists performing at the RockStar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival premiere.
Green Day has topped the music charts in 24 countries and sold close to 50 million albums globally. Warner Music Group’s Grammy award winning band has tied up with the MTV Games and Harmonix to bring a 3 song pack containing tracks from their latest album titled 21st Century Breakdown.
The RockStar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival is an annual event known for promoting fresh musical talent and takes place in the United States between July and August. Marilyn Manson, Cannibal Corpse, Slayer and Behemoth are some of the performing artists from the festival who will feature in the Rock Band Music Store. In all, the 11 songs coming to the Rock Band Music Store are:
- 21 Guns – Green Day.
East Jesus Nowhere – Green Day.
Know Your Enemy – Green Day.
Black Magic – Slayer.
Conquer All – Behemoth.
Disposable Teens – Marilyn Manson.
Embedded – Job for a Cowboy.
Empire of the Gun – God Forbid.
Hammer Smashed Face – Cannibal Corpse.
This Is Exile – Whitechapel.
What a Horrible Night to Have a Curse – Black Dahlia Murder.
The songs will release for the Wii and on the Xbox Live Marketplace on July 7, 2009 and in the PlayStation Store on July 9, 2009. The Green Day Pack can be purchased for USD 5.49 (approx. Rs. 265) or 440 Microsoft points while the Mayhem Pack can be bought for USD 13.49 (approx. Rs. 645) or 1080 Microsoft Points. Individual tracks can be purchased for USD 1.99 (approx Rs. 95) or 160 Microsoft Points each whereas the cost of a single track for Wii is USD 2.00 (approx. 95) or 200 Wii Points.
