The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Arriving for Xbox 360 on April 17

The PC version of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings might already have a large fan base, but this group is about to get larger as the game will finally be launched for the Xbox 360 on April 17, 2012. Dubbed as the Enhanced Edition of the original, the offering will come equipped with many new features that weren’t a part of the earlier version.

Developer CD Projekt RED has apparently extended the gameplay of this tile by the introduction of new quests and locations. Furthermore, to make the plot even more dense, new NPCs have also been imparted into the game. These characters are said to intensify the struggle for power in the Northern Kingdoms. The user interface also receives various tweaks, whereas its new targeting, camera and control systems will supposedly provide players with full control of the witcher during combat sequences.

“The Xbox 360 version is a complete adaptation of the game to the new platform, we’ve rewritten the code so it feels native to the console,” explained Adam Badowski, head of CD Projekt RED studio. “This latest version of The Witcher 2 has been expanded in many ways, and some experts believe it to be one of the best-looking games ever to make it to consoles.”

It has also been announced that owners of the PC version of this game will be entitled to receive free downloads of all the added content. On the other hand, the Xbox 360 copies will comprise of all the DLCs and upgrades that have been made available till date. These include ‘Arena’ arcade mode and the Tutorial.

The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Enhanced Edition can now be pre-ordered for the Xbox 360 at a price of 59.99 USD (approx. Rs. 3,015).
