Japanese video game software and hardware developer, Sega has jumped onto the RPG bandwagon with a number of original releases such as Valkyria Chronicles, Seventh Dragon and End of Eternity. Apparently, Sega has filed two new trademarks which seem to suggest that the company could be planning another role playing game.
The trademarks for ‘Resonance of Fate’ were filed in the US and those for ‘Resonance of Time’ were filed in Japan, Siliconera says, noting that Resonance of Time and Resonance of Fate could well be alternate names for the company’s End of Eternity. The logic here, being that the words time, fate and eternity pretty much swirl around similar concepts.
And although the names seem to be leaning toward the existence of an RPG, it is not at all certain that this will be the case and it could be a totally different type of game altogether. Remember the first Bleach DS fighting game? It was named Blade of Fate in North America.
