Atlus have announced the launch of Dokapon Journey for the Nintendo DS. In the game, the Kingdom of Dokapon has been attacked by monsters. The monsters cause so much havoc that the king is forced to offer the hand of his daughter as well as his throne to anyone who can defeat the monsters and restore order and peace to Dokapon.
Atlus merges the concept of RPGs and board games with Dokapon Journey to churn out a captivating title which is as difficult as is beautiful. Players must formulate a strategy reaching much farther than just the near future. With the chance of being crowned King of Dokapon and being married to the beautiful Princess Penny, who wouldn’t want to take on this challenge to save a kingdom?
This is where the twist to Dokapon Journey comes in. The many brave buccaneers who step up to save Dokapon must now battle it out amongst themselves first, before they can vanquish the menacing demons.
Dokapon can be played in single-player mode by assigning computer control to each character and can also be played with up to three other friends in multi-card mode. Dokapon Journey will be exclusively available for the Nintendo DS when it releases on April 14, 2009.
