Chessmaster Live and Rez HD were the offerings on the Xbox Live Arcade (XBLA) last week. This time around, Microsoft is offering an action packed puzzle game with a poker twist. Called as Poker Smash, it has card-blasting bombs and a super slow-motion trigger. Gamers have to clear rows of cards by arranging them into poker hands.
Poker Smash for the XBLA will have more than thirty minutes of original music along with dazzling visuals. The puzzler features seven unique game modes such as action, timed, puzzle, practice, custom playlist, split screen head-to-head and multiplayer tournaments. The game includes 12 Achievements with a total of 200 points. There is Score of the Gods that requires gamers to reach 1,000,000 points. Then there is The Thinker that requires gamers to unlock all puzzle groups. There is also the Pack Rat, which is rewarded after gamers unlock all 11 in-game themes.
A Poker Smash Play & Win Sweepstakes contest has also been arranged on the XBLA where a grand prize winner will get an Xbox 360 Elite console. Four other winners will win Microsoft Point cards. Besides Poker Smash, Crystal Quest game will get a free gameplay. Gamers can expect a score multiplier.
Poker Smash for the XBLA has been developed by Void Star Creations. The game will cost 800 Microsoft Points. It will be up on XBLA on February 6, 2008 and will be available worldwide.
