Batman: Arkham Knight to get is long due PC patch in the coming weeks

Those worried that the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight will be left in the lurch by Rocksteady Studios forever have received a ray of hope today. The developer has announced that the version of the game on this platform will be receiving its ‘interim patch’ in the coming weeks.

The addition of the word ‘interim’ means that not all the grave woes being faced by the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight will be solved. If you’re unaware, severe performance issues in the title after its release had led to so much of an outcry that its makers were forced to pull the game from Steam and retail stores.

There’s no word right now regarding when all of the game’s issues will be fixed. Rocksteady Studios has unveiled all the features that will form part of this interim update which is to go live in the coming weeks. They include fixes for its frame-rate issues, optimized system memory and VRAM usage, improved performance on all GPU and more.

It has been revealed that work on the DLC for Batman: Arkham Knight is on in full swing right now. It’s perhaps the application of resources to this task that is leading to the delay in the development of a full fix for the PC version’s problems.

Batman: Arkham Knight is the third main entry to the series of games based on the caped crusader by Rocksteady Studios. It is the first from the lot to feature a drivable Batmobile moreover.

Those who currently own the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight will need to cool their heels for a few more weeks in order to get the interim patch.
