Borderlands 2 is F2P over the weekend, available to purchase at 50% off

Looking to get your hands on Borderlands 2? Well, Steam has started offering the game at a discount of just $9.99 after slashing 50% off the original retail value. And before you shell out your hard earned cash on the title, you can take it for a spin as Valve has made the game free to play over the weekend.

The company has announced that Borderlands 2 can be accessed for free until tomorrow, 1PM Pacific Time. Coming to the 50% discount, this offer is also for the weekend only. The deal will be closed on February 10. The promotion is not only valid for the standalone game, but other bundles as well. The 4-Pack is tagged at $29.99 from $59.99, while the Game of the Year bundle which tags along 10 extra items is now $19.99 instead of $39.99.

The game offers a blend of FPS and role-playing mechanics in a single package.
