EA Offering Refunds to PC Buyers of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12: The Masters

It was only last week that Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12: The Masters was launched for PC and things don’t seem peachy at all for the game as EA is reportedly offering refunds to buyers of the golfing simulation title. The repayments are being granted to those who felt ‘misled’ by PC version of the game. Graphics and lack of features are cited as the main reasons behind the dissatisfaction of consumers.

Eurogamer has observed that a number of buyers have been approached by EA with offers of compensation on grounds of the game not having similar characteristics as its console counterparts. The PC version of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12: The Masters comes bundled with a three month membership to the multiplayer component of the title. But fans have apparently been disappointed to see that the game is using the browser-based Tiger Woods PGA Tour Online for its multiplayer mode.

Gamers have also detected that the title’s graphics and features are not on par with the console versions that were released in March this year. Reddit as well as EA’s official forums are purportedly being used by fans to vent out their dissatisfaction. It is on these forums that some of the buyers have revealed about being granted refunds by EA. A number of users who have posted on EA’s official forums also claim that their posts have been censored by moderators.

The PC version of this game was released on September 6, 2011, almost five months after the much appreciated Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii editions. Some gamers who were not happy with their copy of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12: The Masters have supposedly been offered refunds through the live chat feature on EA support page.
