Chaotic Video Game Announced by Activision and 4Kids Entertainment

You must have heard of ‘Chaotic’, the popular trading card game and the animated series. Activision Publishing have sent word that they have entered into an agreement with 4Kids Entertainment and Chaotic USA Entertainment Group to publish a video game called ‘Chaotic’, which is based on that animated TV series and trading card game.

The Chaotic video game features a combination of role playing, action and strategy gameplay. Players must venture out into the game’s 3D world and mingle with a variety of characters from the popular card game and animated TV series. Players must build their armies comprising of Chaotic creatures for purposes such as skirmishing against rivals, to unlock spells and attacks and to pick up battle gear.

“Chaotic was the first trading card franchise specifically designed to connect competition with online interaction, so it’s a natural fit for the property to evolve into videogames,” stated Alfred R. Kahn, Chairman and CEO, 4Kids Entertainment. “Fans are eagerly anticipating the opportunity to take their battles to the next level… and now a Chaotic video game is on the horizon.”

“The Chaotic brand is inherently well-suited for video games because of its one-of-a-kind creature art, compelling storylines and imaginative environments,” asserted Bryan C. Gannon, CEO, Chaotic USA Entertainment Group. “We’re confident these core elements and a world class publisher such as Activision will result in a phenomenal game.”

Commenting on the game, David Oxford of Activision Publishing said, “Chaotic has quickly earned its place among the top trading card games on the market. We’re excited to create a fresh experience which will appeal to video game fans and Chaotic enthusiasts alike.”

Chaotic is scheduled to be released on the Wii, Nintendo DS, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC in fall of 2009. The game also features various upgrades and unlockables.
