Gamespin Interactive along with Gaming Hungama have come together to unveil a new spooky offering into the gaming scene. They join forces to release Ghost Town Mysteries Bodie which is claimed to be the premier eight-game series for digital download and online streaming. The hidden object genre is a first for an Indian company in the online casual downloadable game category. The latest game includes 30 locations, 17 puzzles, 13 mini puzzles and 13 haunted houses.

Ghost Town Mysteries Bodie is a hidden-object title that is based upon actual unsolved mysteries that took place in real American ghost towns. Players are transported to a spooky ghost town located in California near Yosemite National Park. The eerie story follows the story of the unexplained death of a 6 year old girl by the name of Evelyn Byers. She was allegedly killed by a pick axe more than a century ago. It is unknown whether her death was an accident or murder and it is the players’ mission to solve the mystery of the little child’s death.

Commenting on the second game in the series co-produced by Gaming Hungama and Gamespin Richardson added, “We think the next game in the series will capitalize on many of the things we learned on the first title,” says Richardson. “With that in mind, our goal is to blur the line between an interactive game and narrative story telling so that the player forgets they are playing a game, the same way a good movie makes you forget you are watching a movie.”
The haunted title starts of with a narrative behind Bodie. Gamers start their search for clues within the houses of the twelve people that were witnesses to her murder. The events that roll out within the game are just a fictionalized account of the real events that took place in the haunted place. Players are faced with solving dozens of thrilling puzzles and finding loads of items in 13 eerie areas. The companies disclose that the game rounds off with an exciting conclusion.
The second installment in the Ghost Town Mysteries series is expected to release by mid next year.
