Brain Exercise with Dr. Kawashima Coming for PCs and Laptops from Atari

We’ve just seen the games Tekken 6 and Soulcalibur from Namco Bandai coming for Sony’s PSP system. Now Namco Bandai has announced the upcoming launch of Brain Exercise with Dr. Kawashima for PC and laptop users. The game is the newest installment from the Brain Training series and is supervised by Dr. Kawashima, a respected Japanese neuroscientist.

Brain Exercise with Dr. Kawashima will be available for PCs in the form of DVDs and Games for Laptops in the form of mini-DVDs and will even be available for digital download at the Atari store. The game delivers 36 mini-exercises which are segregated into three categories aimed at training the frontal, parietal and temporal lobes of the brain, using memory games, basic arithmetic and puzzles. Players can use keystrokes or the mouse to point and click with ease. The game allows players to track their progress, and players can share their results with others.

Dr. Kawashima was the “brainchild” behind the Brain Training series on the Nintendo DS and mobile phone platforms and now brings brain exercises to PC and laptop users. Brain Exercise with Dr. Kawashima is expected to be available ‘Games for Laptop’ mini-DVD and PC DVD-Rom on May 29, 2009 in Europe and the PAL regions and for digital download via the Atari store.
