New PC Games Introduced by Koei

A few months back Koei had announced Samurai Warriors: Katana for the Nintendo Wii. Now they have announced Samurai Warriors 2 for the PC platform. They have even sent word about Romance of the Three Kingdoms XI, which will also release on the PC.

Samurai Warriors 2 is a hack and slash game that has twenty-six playable characters. The fighters have new fighting techniques and gamers will have the capability to power up their Musou gauge up to three times for the attacks. It has Story, Free, and Survival modes along with a two-player co-op play as well as a party game for up to four players called as Sugoroku. Samurai Warriors 2 features more than seventy cinematic sequences supervised by Shinsuke Sato of the Princess Blade fame. It has new music from Minoru Mukaiya, the well-known fusion artist.

Romance of the Three Kingdoms XI Screenshots

Romance of the Three Kingdoms XI is a turn-based strategy game that is set during the end of the Han Dynasty and the second and third centuries. Gamers have complete control over their territories as they govern cities, manage their personnel as well as practice diplomacy. The game has an Advanced Tactics System, which lets gamers to decoy or drive adversaries into shocking ambushes.

Samurai Warriors 2 is expected to be out for the PC on June 27, 2008. As for Romance of the Three Kingdoms XI, the game is scheduled to be launched on the PC platform on July 25, 2008. These games have previously been released on consoles but it is good to see them on the PC.
