Chaos 08 Gaming Tournament Announced
Gaming tournaments are becoming a norm at college festivals these days in India. Now students over IIT Roorkee have sent word about Chaos 08. The tournament is the gaming partner of Cognizance, which is the annual technical festival of the college. The tournament enjoys participation from gamers all over the country.
The games that will feature in the Chaos 08 gaming tournament are Counter Strike 1.6, DotA, Age of Empires 2: Conquerors Expansion, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, FIFA 08 and War Rock. One thing that makes the tournament so special is that they also have workshops based on game developments, game videos, commercial display stalls and guest lectures. This time at Chaos 08, they have planned seminars on topics such as advanced 3-D rendering and mobile gaming
Chaos 08 takes place from March 28 to 30. It will feature an arena that has some hundred gaming computers. As for the prizes, winners can expect cash, products from Razer, Intel, Intex and even merchandise from Chaos.
