PopCap’s Casual Games to be Launched on Games on Demand by Indiagames

Indiagames has sent word that they have gotten into an agreement with PopCap Games to launch the latter’s catalogue of games on their “Games on Demand” (GoD) Service. This was announced at the CGA Casual Connect Seattle 2007 Conference.

Vishal Gondal, CEO, Indiagames said, “With broadband connectivity growing exponentially in India, casual games are very important to the growth of online gaming as there are millions of Indian gamers who are experiencing gaming for the first time through our GoD service and they want to see a simple and fun experience. We believe PopCap’s games like Zuma, Bejeweled and Bookworm will be a welcome addition to our GoD service and will be an instant hit with our users.”

Games on Demand offers more than 300 games across multiple genres. The addition of PopCap’s casual games will be welcomed by Indian gamers, most of whom love playing casual games on the PC. Just a few days ago, we had reported that Indiagames will be the Asia Partner of International Mobile Gaming Awards (IMGA).
