Earlier we had reported that Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures would be hitting the Xbox 360. Now Funcom has stated that they are trying to engineer a way that will let gamers from different platforms i.e. PC and Xbox 360, play with or against each other.
Erling Ellingsen, Product Manager, Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures says, “There are several issues with integrating people on the same server. Will they be able to converse well enough with each other? Will the console users be less responsive than the PC users? There are many issues that must be addressed.”
Till now, only Final Fantasy XI gamers have had the experience of playing a cross-platform game. However, I don’t think so it would be so hard to integrate the PC and the Xbox 360 versions as both are Microsoft products and are nearly the same. Challenge would be, to make sure video games work on all the available platforms like Wii, PS3 and Xbox 360.
