Introversion Software has announced that they have come out with a Windows Vista version of Darwinia, their simulation real time strategy game. The game supports the new version of DirectX.

- We are delighted to announce that after many months of hard work a Vista version of Darwinia has been released. Its been a fantastic opportunity, not only because we believe that Darwinia is a perfect addition to the Vista game package but also because it represents a major stepping stone for Introversion to work with one of the major players in the industry. Hopefully this will enable us to work with Microsoft again in the future.
The Windows Vista version of Darwinia will have enhanced visual effects like screen warping explosion effects, reflective water, and Darwinian soul ‘auras’. The developers have concentrated more on the pixel shading part to improve the graphics. The game can also be played using a Xbox 360 controller.
It’s just been 48 hours since the release of Windows Vista and games for the Microsoft’s new OS have already started rolling in.
