Street Fighter II Champion Edition Relaunched as Online Flash game

The PC version of Capcom’s Street Fighter IV is available online and in North American stores. Now, Metaboli, Capcom and GameTap have devised a novel way of promoting the digital distribution of PC games by coming out with a free Flash version of the previously released Street Fighter II’ Champion Edition game that can be played directly in web browsers.

Street Fighter IV

The idea behind this move is to support the recently launched PC version of Street Fighter IV and allow users to relive the magic of the 1992 arcade fighter. Street Fighter II’ Champion Edition will include the 12 classic characters M.Bison, Guile, Chun-li, Blanka, Dhalsim, Ryu, Zangief, Sagat, Honda, Vega, Balrog and Ken. The ‘bonus game’ after every third match, will let fighters smash cars, break drums and demolish barrels all for extra points. Finishing this game will not be a walk in the park as the player will have to face off against 12 highly skilled competitors.
