Epic Titles on Steam, no Gears Of War though!

Steam logo Seems like Steam is going to be the leading Platform for Game distribution from now on and why shouldn’t it be. It gives the option of downloading Games the second they release. Once installed, the games get automatically updated without you having to search sites for Updates. Steam definitely improves communication between players allowing them to chat in-gaming with click of a button. No doubt, steam is the new and improved Xfire.

Valve has announced that developer Epic Games is releasing it’s wide arsenal of “Unreal” Games on Steam. The titles currently available on Steam include the Unreal Gold, Unreal 2: The Awakening and the Unreal Tournament series – Unreal Tournament: Game Of the Year Edition, Unreal Tournament 2004: Editor’s Choice Edition and the recently released Unreal Tournament 3. That’s a lot of Unrealness right there! Though it’s sad to see no Gears Of War in the list.

“Steam is a revolutionary technology that opens up an entirely new way to put our games into the hands of millions of PC gamers around the world,” said Jay Wilbur, vice president of Epic. “Valve has changed the face of digital distribution for game developers, publishers and consumers, and we are thrilled to be a part of the Steam community.”
