With Halloween just around the corner Nintendo has announced its spooky and scary downloadable content for the Wii and Nintendo DS. This week on WiiWare are the titles Ghost Mansion Party and Tales of Monkey Island: Chapter 3, while on the Virtual Console we have the two titles, Golden Axe and Zombies Ate My Neighbors. The DSiWare offerings for the week are PictureBook Games: The Royal Bluff and SUDOKU.
Ghost Mansion Party is the Gameloft title for one to four players, which features mild cartoon violence. The game follows Fazzy the ghost locked out of his mansion by evil ghouls, and is willing to give his treasure to anyone who chases them out. Cooperative as well as competitive gameplay is available in the board-game styled video game. Ghost Mansion Party is available for 1000 Wii Points.
Tales of Monkey Island: Chapter 3 is the second WiiWare offering this week. The game is the third in the series and sees Guybrush get in deep, when his quest for La Esponja Grande goes horribly off course. He encounters many interesting and intriguing characters along the course of his adventure. Tales of Monkey Island: Chapter 3 is published by Telltale Games and is also available for 1000 Wii Points.
The first of the VC titles this week is Golden Axe, the original arcade title which kick started the Golden Axe series. Three fearless warriors, Ax Battler, Tyris Flare and Gilius Thunderhead step up to face the evil Death Adder. Players can mount fire-breathing beasts to even up the odds against them. Golden Axe is for one or two players and is available for 900 Wii Points.
Zombies Ate My Neighbors for the Virtual Console is from LucasArts and for one or two players. Playing as either Zeke or Julie, two brave kids in this scary title, players will come across giant ants, mental scientists and big babies as they make their way through 48 levels plus seven bonus levels marked by question marks. 1-Up bonuses are hidden in the game and players can earn points and stockpile water pistols and other weapons. Zombies Ate My Neighbors is available for 800 Wii Points.
PictureBook Games: The Royal Bluff is the first title on DSiWare this week. It is a game of strategy and deceit, published by Nintendo for one to four players. The game features three modes of play including Tournament, Free Play and DS Wireless Play. There are even Card Tricks in the game to make it more exciting. PictureBook Games: The Royal Bluff is available for 500 Nintendo DSi Points.
Lastly is the title SUDOKU from Electronic Arts which is for one player. The game has hundreds of number-crunching puzzles and five difficulty levels ranging from Easy to Insane. Players can track their stats and improve on their reaction times with an in-game timer. SUDOKU is available for 200 Nintendo DSi Points.
